Terms and Conditions for New Garage Door Purchases

Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before purchasing your new garage door. By purchasing, you agree to these terms and conditions in full.

1. Warranty Information

All purchases through Hostetler Askew Door & All Brand Garage Door are covered by the following warranty:

1.1. Warranty Coverage

• Residential Garage Doors: Warranties on doors vary by manufacturer at a minimum of 1 year. Warranty coverage on our workmanship related to the installation of your residential garage door is 1 year.

• Commercial Garage Doors: We provide a 6-month warranty on all parts, materials, and workmanship related to the installation of your commercial garage door.

• Residential & Commercial Garage Door Operators: Warranties on operators vary by manufacturer at a minimum of 1 year. Warranty coverage on our workmanship related to the installation of your operator is 1 year.

1.2. Warranty Limitations

The warranty is valid under normal use and service conditions. It does not cover damage caused by:

• Improper use or neglect by the homeowner or end-user.

• External factors such as weather-related damage (wind, hail, flood, etc.).

• Accidental damage, misuse, or failure to maintain the garage door.

• Modifications or repairs done by unauthorized service providers.

1.3. Warranty Claims

If you experience an issue with your garage door within the warranty period, please contact us immediately at 574-533-0491. We will inspect the issue and, if parts and materials are covered by the warranty, perform the necessary repairs or replacements under warranty. Labor is not covered under warranty after 1 year.

2. Materials Purchased Directly by Homeowner

We are committed to providing high-quality materials for all installations. However, if the homeowner chooses to purchase materials independently, the following terms apply:

2.1. No Warranty on Customer-Supplied Materials

• Disclaimer: If any garage door or associated hardware (including garage door operators) is purchased independently by the homeowner and not supplied by us we offer NO WARRANTY on those materials. This includes, but is not limited to, issues with material defects, compatibility with other components, or product failures.

• Labor Warranty: We will still warranty the labor associated with installing customer-supplied materials for 12 months, but we will not be responsible for any malfunctions or defects in the products that result from the homeowner-supplied materials.

• Liability: Hostetler Askew Door shall not be liable for any performance issues, damage, or repairs needed due to customer-supplied materials.

2.2. Inspection of Materials

Before installation, our technicians will inspect homeowner-supplied materials. If the materials are deemed incompatible, defective, or substandard, we reserve the right to decline installation of used/customer supplied replacement parts.

3. Payment Terms

• A deposit of 35% of the total purchase price is required to confirm your order. The remaining balance is due upon the completion of the installation.

• Payments can be made via cash, check, or credit card. A 3% late fee will apply to unpaid balances after 30 days.

4. Special Order Parts

Special order parts refer to any items that are not regularly stocked in our inventory and must be procured from a vendor specifically for your project. This includes, but is not limited to, custom-sized doors, specialty finishes, non-standard hardware, and unique operator systems.

4.1. Delivery and Lead Times

• Special order parts are subject to vendor delivery schedules, which are beyond our control. While we provide an estimated installation date based on average lead times, this date is not a guarantee of installation.

4.2. Acknowledgment of Delivery Variability

• Delays in delivery or availability of special-order parts may affect the installation schedule. We will notify you promptly of any changes and work with you to reschedule accordingly.

4.3 Cancellations

• Special Orders can be canceled up to 48 hours from the time of ordering, with a restocking fee of 15% of the total order value.

• Cancellations after 48 hours of the order date will result in forfeiture of your deposit.

5. Homeowner Responsibilities

• Homeowners are responsible for ensuring that the area required to work both inside and outside the garage is clear and accessible for our technicians upon arrival. Failure to do so may result in rescheduling the appointment, and additional charges may apply.

6. Limitation of Liability

Hostetler Askew Door is not responsible for:

• Damage caused to the property as a result of unforeseen events or negligence by the homeowner.

• Any incidental or consequential damage arising from delays, incorrect materials purchased by homeowners, or misuse of the installed garage doors.

7. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, and any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Elkhart County, Indiana.
